About MOPC (UK)
Set up in 2004, MOPC UK provides funding for the MOPC orphanage in Mutoko, Zimbabwe. The orphanage was founded in 1994 in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Zimbabwe. The UK charity has groupings of members in Leicestershire, South London, North London, Somerset, Berkshire and Hampshire.
The objectives of MOPC UK are:
• To relief poverty, sickness and distress amongst children and young people who are destitute or orphaned as a result of the HIV/AIDS pandemic through the provision of a loving Christian Home within the Mother of Peace/Orphanage in the Mutoko area of Zimbabwe and reintegration of children into their extended families in the local area.
•To relief financial hardship and sickness of members of the local rural community through the provision of employment opportunities and/or the provision of health, education and care.
The children and workers at MOPC Mutoko engage in a variety of projects mainly farm produce for self-reliance. This however is not enough to clothe and feed all the children and provide them with a much needed education. Your help is urgently needed. Funds raised by MOPC UK are directed to the Orphanage to assist in various ways:
• Full support of The Child Welfare Department with an Annual Grant
• Provision of Container of “needed” goods
• Grants to Income Generation Projects
• Reintegration of children into society
• Training of Staff
• School fees.

Your money buys seeds, food, medicine, and pays for school fees and

£10 will pay a term's fees for 3 children at Primary School
£15 will feed one child each month
£20 will pay a term's fees at Secondary school or feed 10 children for 1 month
